Terry Carlin

Terry Carlin, Senior Building Scientist at Chelsea Group, Ltd., has over 20 years of engineering and building operations background with extensive experience in reviewing and overseeing capital improvement projects in existing buildings. He has knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with specific experience with industrial and commercial refrigeration, applications, and control systems. With Chelsea Group Mr. Carlin conducts physical assessments of facilities as part of determining and quantifying energy conservation and sustainability opportunities within the facilities. His hands-on approach serves not only to identify and validate opportunities for saving energy but to improve the operation of the energy intensive applications within a facility. This saves energy and costs for the building owner on several levels.

Mr. Carlin is a member of ASHRAE and has served on national technical committees. Additionally, he was the founder and President of the Austin Texas Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers. Mr. Carlin is registered as a professional engineer (PE) in Texas, and is a national council record holder with the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors. Mr. Carlin is an Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Certified Energy Manager (CEM). He is an ASHRAE certified Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP). Mr. Carlin holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of New Orleans.
