Terry Gorski

Terry Gorski is a Regional Technical Manager with Chelsea Group, Ltd. She provides indoor air quality consulting services to clients and manages Chelseas technical resources in the Chicagoland area. She applies her knowledge of the indoor environment to helping customers not only resolve IAQ problems and issues, but also prevent them. Ms. Gorski is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
She participated in field work, as well as the analysis and reporting of test results for obtaining the indoor environmental quality credit for LEED certification of Exelons new Chicago headquarters. Her involvement in building forensics has included the coordination of a large forensic team of scientists, engineers, and contractors to do complex materials science, and chemical and genetic analysis of Katrina-exposed materials on the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center campus. A wide variety of both indoor and outdoor building materials in several buildings were examined and sampled for floodwater contamination and damage.

In addition to providing consulting services, Ms. Gorski has worked on ground-breaking research and writing projects such as an analysis of moisture management opportunities in buildings for the National Center for Energy Management and Building Technologies. She also worked on developing and writing IAQ Certification Course study guides for both HVAC technicians and their supervisors for the National Energy Management Institute.
